'Cafe is a Breton term for places that serve coffee and baked goods. Before that, there were khaves in Hammerfell where coffee was first brewed black. Then, wanting to outdo the Akaviri legacy of the tea houses built by the Potentate, the Imperials in Cyrodiil's West established coffee houses. But because "cafe" was easier to say, most of them call themselves cafes.'
-- Sera Maddex, an Imperial University scholar, explaining the brief history of establishments that serve coffee across Western Tamriel
And here's the art for Lucius' bio all on its own
Mentioned it in the tags on the bio post I think, but I legit just used this as an opportunity to learn how to draw him lmao
Lucius Albecius
He/Him Colovian Late 20's-Early 30's
Citizenship: Aldmeri Dominion
Class: Dragonknight Weapon Skills: One-Handed and Shield, Dual Wield Armor Skills: Medium, Heavy Guild Skills: Fighter's Guild Crafting Skills: Blacksmithing, Clothier, Woodworking
Imperial Legionnaire once imprisoned in a pocket plane. He was discovered and rescued by Jo'zira, but very few of his memories from before the imprisonment remain.
A steadfast and pious man, though some would call him overbearing. Normally amiable, but difficult when properly angered and particularly hard-headed when he believes he's in the right. He credits this attitude for his survival in the Imperial City. That he wasn't brainwashed or consigned to Coldharbour is a point in his favor, but the fact remains he was shut away beyond reach.
Though he has recovered physically from his ordeal, he retains deep mental and emotional scars. He suffers from acute claustrophobia and nyctophobia, limiting the type of places he can explore without problems. He's also plagued by tactile hallucinations and alternates between the need for and aversion to touch.
Jo'zira attempts to reach out and help as best as he can, but it's clear that it's something far outside of his capabilities. He can only hope that Lucius will eventually recover the life taken from him.
Additional art and bonus stuff after the cut
I’m of the opinion that besides the Redguards, it’s very difficult to tell which human race in The Elder Scrolls is which just by look alone. Their most distinct visual difference is height and that’s about it, Bretons, Nords and Imperials are all white, with Bretons being the shortest, Nords being the tallest and Imperials being in the middle and slightly tanner then the others, Boring, Boring, Boring. Where’s the visual diversity?
I could never expect this to be changed officially, but my own personal headcanon/CODA of the Imperials has them look Indian. They still keep their Roman/Southern European/Slavic/Southeast Asian influences but the people themselves are Indian in appearance.
Partially I like this cause I think it adds needed visual diversity among the human races of The Elder Scrolls and to a lesser extent I do enjoy the idea having people that look like me in my favorite fantasy setting. I am curious what others think about my headcanon.

Wildgrown Chapel of Julianos - Screenshot Tour | ESO Housing | U47 PTS
Very excited about this house, and the fact that it will be earnable: the final morph of the Julianos season / Stonewisp of Truth and Law morphables! (At time of posting, UESP is not yet updated to reflect this.)
Times of day, from Night to Sunset:
All beautiful! The rest of the screenshots will use the Morning setting (3rd image).
Interior:
Enormous Dawnwood grounds to free-build in!
I really hoped for a bare plot in the Dawnwood, but this is great. There's so much room to build and it's easy to hide the house with Dawnwood items.
Love that it comes with awesome Crown furnishings like this Colovian Gazebo!
I would not have bought this from the Crown store, personally – these tend to cost the equivalent of ~1.5 months of ESO Plus sub; for me that's way too much for one item.
Btw, here's the full list of new furnishings and sources in U47:
I always find lists with static images and searchable text helpful, so I made one! Early PTS; some info here may be incorrect or incomplete.
This tower is really cool. In a fantasy game like this, I'd much rather live somewhere fun and interesting like a crumbling tower, more than a house. It's almost too good: when the default build is great, what do you have left to do? Customizing is even more of a challenge!
The Julianos shrine here turns this cool VFX in the middle hole on and off. I've removed the tree to see it better:
Views:
You can go extremely high up and far out: forget about earth, take to the treetops and build your own thing!
Last image is the death floor; you can't go very low sadly.
And finally, the house entrance:
We had a lot of complaints about Willowpond's original PTS entrance which did get changed to be better! Looks like this one was made with that in mind: you can take a boat to get between the shores. This is a 1-second black-screen port, no load screens. Also, we now have Mount Swimming, so even less trouble!
P.S. here's some of my feedback on the forums. Really happy with Housing and QOL this update!
This is the official feedback thread for the new houses and furnishings.
Malcius winced as do’Matthri pressed an alcohol-soaked sponge against the long cut running down his forearm. “Abbess,” he groaned, “can’t you just use a spell?”
Do’Matthri glanced her feline eyes up at Malcius before returning her attention to her wound-tending. “Pain teaches lessons,” she said, her old voice a chiding half-purr. “Lessons you sorely need to learn.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” said Malcius, nearly stumbling over his words as he lied.
“Then how did you get so roughed up?” asked do’Matthri as she began to suture up the gash, pulling the string tight after each puncture; Malcius winced again with each stab of the needle and yank of the thread.
“I, er…fell off a cliff,” lied Malcius again. Mara forgive my deceit…
