Does Andrew Luck take showers? In an interview on Mike and Mike in the Morning, veteran gun slinger Matt Hasselbeck said that Andrew Luck prided himself on not showering.
“He’s kind of like a college kid still,” Hasselbeck said. “Does that make sense? He takes pride in not showering kind of thing.”
Well Andrew Luck has responded and says that Hasselbeck is lying.
Andrew Luck strongly refutes Matt Haselebeck’s knock of his hygiene: “I do shower twice a day,” Luck says.

Former Canadian star RB Tyler Varga retired and says the fans should get use to people leaving early
Tyler Varga was recently with the Indianapolis Colts but he has decided to hang up his cleats. Now the former star back is talking about players retiring early and says we should get use to it.
“People shouldn’t be surprised when they hear about players retiring young,” Varga told Bob Kravitz of WTHR. “You’re seeing it more and more often these days.
“Players are far more educated now about the risks involved in playing football. Guys are more aware of the risks involved.”
“In the end, you just have to weigh the risk versus reward, do a cost/benefit analysis, and I ultimately decided it wasn’t worth the risk,” Varga said. “I didn’t want to risk another big one [concussion] and having it impact my quality of life down the road. It was a difficult decision; it always is when you work so hard toward a goal and finally reach that goal, but after a long period of reflection, I felt like this was the best decision for my future.”

Was keeping Chuck Pagano risky?
There were so many rumors as last season came to an end that Chuck Pagano and Ryan Grigson were both going to be canned after the season, but their owner decided to let them keep working together. This move was a little gutsy but their star quarterback really likes the move, and even admitted it is gutsy.
“I think Mr. Irsay showed a lot of guts keeping coach Pagano and Ryan,” Luck recently told the Indianapolis Star’s Zak Keefer. “I think the easy thing is to start all over, I really do. I think that was an awesome, gutsy move. I think it surprised me, but then again, I think any decision would’ve surprised me.”
Luck is fired up to return and make a difference. Jim Irsay talked to Keefer and said this:
“I’ve never seen him more motivated,” Irsay said, via Keefer. “That fire is in his eye in a special way.”

Colts have signed FB Emil Igwenagu
The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve signed FB/TE Emil Igwenagu to a contract and placed QB Josh Woodrum on waivers.
Philadelphia originally signed Igwenagu as an undrafted rookie in 2012. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound UMass product made the team, played in three games and made one start. He split time between the Eagles’ practice squad and active roster in 2013 but did not play in any games.
Woodrum was claimed May 10 after being waived by the New York Giants. He finished his college career as Liberty’s all-time leader in yards passing and total offensive yards.

Colts RB Frank Gore is motivated by people saying he is "old"
Frank Gore is still running hard at the age of 33
Frank Gore is 33 years old, and while he fell short of 1000 yards last season he is ready to prove that he still has the “it” factor. His 3.7 yards per carry in 2015 were a career low, but he is working hard to get over the “old” stigma.
“Believe me, I listen,” Gore told the Indy Star’s Stephen Holder. “When I hear it, that’s when I attack my training. When I’m tired, I tell myself what the people are saying about me. In that second workout (of the day) when I’m saying, ‘Man, I don’t want to do this.’ I remind myself, ‘They’re saying you’re old. They’re saying you’re 33. They’re saying you can’t do it this year.’ I play games with myself off that stuff.”
Gore has been working with young guys in Miami like Giovanni Bernard and Teddy Bridgewater.
“But, see, that’s why I like working with young guys,” Gore told Holder. “You can’t even tell (the difference), can you?”

Peyton Manning is getting a statue in front of Lucas Oil Stadium
The Indianapolis Colts are going to honor their best quarterback ever, in a way that everyone will remember him. According to the Colts website, Local sculptor and fireman Ryan Feeney will be tasked with building a statue of Peyton Manning to place in the front of Lucas Oil Stadium.
“Ryan Feeney is not only very talented, but also a great representative of our community,” Colts Owner and CEO Jim Irsay said in a team release. “I am excited to see this project begin.”
Feeney, who has been a firefighter for 13 years, is the founder of Indy Art Forge, which creates custom sculptures and furniture out of metal. He has created numerous pieces of work around Indianapolis, including the Peace Dove sculpture for the Indianapolis library, the Fallen Deputy Memorial out front of the Marion County Jail and the bronze eagle at the Indianapolis 9/11 Memorial. The Peace Dove sculpture was unveiled in 2014 and features an 8-foot-tall eagle forged from 1,200 destroyed gun parts that included guns seized by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
