Joss Whedon's run handwaves Xavin's gender with "you turned into a girl when you got mad, so you're a girl," soooo.... I'd recommend stopping before Whedon's run to people interested in Xavin.

Yeah I wasn’t really sure what the hell that was about.  I like Dead End Kids because you get to see the jealousy that Nico has about Xavin, but that part was kinda weird.  It felt like Whedon wanted to make Xavin into a trans woman instead of going with the non-binary/genderqueer way Vaughan wrote her.  *eyeroll*
