Don't be suprised when I turn down my workload to live slowly and with mindfulness. I over heard an older woman at the salon saying, "Everyone is godawful busy these days. They're being pulled in so many directions at once." It's true. Being stressed out all the time is a choice, taken at a cost. I want to feel the ground under my feet and the sun on my face. I want to explore my own mind and the minds of others, while the chance is abrupt.
When my daydreams fall to dust which twists into a conjuration of ways to be three places at once, I turn away. Slow it down. When we expect the world to spin faster than it is meant to, the weight of it falls on the inhabitants. I lay in the grass and watch the clouds dance.
