It was almost 10:30pm by the time my name was finally called to go up onstage for my first audition for Repertory Philippines. I was frankly more hungry than nervous, though by this time, nobody was getting second chances: hit a sour note, and your audition gets cut unceremoniously adding to the tension in the theatre. I lean over to the where the pianist sat in the pit and tell him my song (which was only sung once before). The music starts, and I sing, and before I knew it, it was over. Fast forward, fifteen years later, and the lessons I've learned during my brief stint with Rep have always proven themselves invaluable. Never compromise quality, expect nothing short of perfection in everything you do, and always infuse love in all your endeavors. These lessons extend far beyond the theatre walls and into the world outside, and I cherish them greatly. #ComeHomeToRep #RepAt50
