"Come Let's Eat!" | Bangkok Blue Elephant . Dating back to the 1970s, the Blue Elephant has been seen as a representative of Thai royal cuisine. The first restaurant opened in Brussels in 1980. It was founded by Chef Nooror Somany and Mr Karl Steppe. Perhaps it is a way for the chef to connect with her Thai roots and perhaps it is also an intention to introduce Thai cuisine to a foreign land that shaped what Blue Elephant is today.
