since some of you were asking about lati anatomy last night... here's a closeup of comet's talons. like a bird of prey, his talons are hooked for catching and holding onto things--mostly fish, which comprise a large portion of a lati's diet.

!!!!! I know this is way more than you probably wanted but!!!! I love locke so much!!!!!

okay so!!! he’s my sunflower boy! he’s the goodest of all good boys! here are some facts and ramblings about him !

*dyslexic!!! this boy can’t read very well and has poor short term memory. Blue reads to him a lot in the evenings. 

*was almost a ranger, but he decided that being close to Blue was more important. he’s not the best knight, and has actually been at the Academy a year longer than most

*is 100% the strongest character in the story, both physically and emotionally. Locke has taken his long legs and clumsy steps and made them into a fighting style all of his own, and he’s found ways to twist his Good Intent into a shield

*loves to make flower crowns. sometimes he gives them away at festivals and sometimes he sells them, but mostly it’s just for fun

*knows that Blue is lying to him but that’s okay. he figures Blue must have a reason, even if that reason is just fear

*understands that sometimes people do bad things, and they should be given a chance to try and fix it

*he knows pretty much everyone even if they don’t know him. a lot of people mistake his good nature for naivety

*he! loves! vests! and! capes!

*is a really great cook! 

*will do anything to help his friends. he never gives up hope.
