Standard of Lies and Truth
It’s crazy, isn’t it? Some people will believe a lie with zero evidence no questions asked, no hesitation.
Whisper a rumour, drop a headline, or post something on social media, and suddenly it’s gospel truth in their eyes. Yet when it comes to actual truth solid facts, clear evidence, and reality staring them in the face they demand endless proof. And even then, some still won’t accept it.
This is the world we’re living in now. A society where lies spread faster than wildfire because they appeal to feelings, fears, and convenience. People latch onto what makes them comfortable, not what makes them think. Truth, on the other hand, is often uncomfortable. It requires accountability, responsibility, and sometimes even the humility to admit you were wrong. And that’s why so many resist it.
We’ve bred a culture that doesn’t care about facts anymore it cares about narratives. If the lie fits the narrative, it’s instantly believed. If the truth doesn’t fit, well, suddenly the goalposts are moved. “Show more evidence.” “Prove it again.” “That can’t be right.” It’s hypocrisy at its finest.
But here’s the thing: Truth doesn’t need their approval to exist. Facts don’t vanish just because someone refuses to accept them. Lies may be popular for a season, but the truth always stands quietly, firmly, waiting for the noise to die down.
So, when you see this double standard at play, don’t get frustrated. Just recognise it for what it is: weakness, fear, and intellectual laziness. The strong don’t cling to lies they confront reality, even when it stings.
