keep seeing all these thirst posts calling Jason Todd daddy and seeing all these bondage kink headcanons for him but like the reality is that any pain towards someone he loves would trigger horrible memories for him from being vibe checked by joker and would make him break down if he had to tie someone up and cause them any sort of pain
like maybe he'd be willing to try it but there's no way that if you haven't been together and/or known him for technically his whole life he will give you his trust to put him in a blindfold and/or restraint system even though he could probably break free from
why, you ask?
because it scares the shit out of him knowing he has to put his trust in someone else. Bruce already betrayed that trust, and it got him nowhere. giving someone trust enough to not loose something of his like a goddamned shirt makes him anxious enough, and he doesn't want to put someone through what he's felt or even something close to it by error, sexual or not.
honestly for a good few months (maybe a year) or so after becoming red hood and forming new connections with the family or rebuilding old ones, he probably avoids any type of relationship that requires trust that isn't strictly with the batfam. Bruce is still iffy, he can't fully trust him anymore and probably never will, but he's trying, and being with someone that wants to put that much trust in him?
he'd be scared out of his mind.
