They made it! I thought it would be appropriate to have Teft be the one who was waiting for Kal even after the highstorm had passed. This particular moment wasn't written in the book, but this is how I imagined it. And I wanted to show visually how far Shallan and Kaladin had come from the beginning of the arc till now. From being completely different and divided to being able to rely upon one another emotionally and physically.
