I did four drawings of aliens from Detective Comics.
though I did it in the style of the Alien Profiles I've been working for a while.
The Alien profile aims to present a typical individual from the planets dominant culture alongside an image of the most common environment found on the planet.
Here I present to you Kryptonians, Tamaranians, Thanagarians and Martians.
Kryptonians: The northern and Sothern part of their planet is covered in glaciers and arctic deserts, where the land isn't frozen over there where large swats of wastelands but also had glass plants, as seen with the glass jungle. what plants weren't glass where general a mixture of red to cyan. The dominant culture on krypton where the Kandorians who resided in the new world. They have noble houses led by a patriarch and they value science and innovation. Kryptonians as a species can absorb sunlight through their skin, that can grant them special abilities, but don't under their red light of their sun Rao. its a harsh but beautiful world...well it was.
(I'm not too thrilled by her outfit NGL but its fine.)
Tamaranias: Their planet is part of a unique stellar ecosystem known as the Circle of Life in the Vega system. Within the Circle of life are twenty or so planets all existing in the "goldilocks zone" that allows for those planets to thrive. Tamaran and its sister planet Okaar are two planets within the circle. Both Tamaran and its sister planet are populated by the same species (Who I'm collectively referring to as) Renians. They are a cat-like humanoid species who absorb sunlight and turn it into energy. The planet's land surface is primarily covered in dense green jungle. The Tamarians are largely peaceful
Thanagarians: On a terraformed, colonized and then forgotten planet in the Polaris system is Thanagar. Thanagar is primarily covered in ocean and small rocky islands. large beasts roam the land and fly through the sky. fish are abundant in the sea even if no plankton drift through the oceans. Thanagar has played host to many species, but foremost it is the home of the winged and fierce Hawkmen, the Thanagarians. Thanagar has a culture of conquest and often comes into conflict with the planet Rann. Thanagar is home to rare and coveted Nth Metal. its citizens also believe in reincarnation. Plants on the planet are primarily red in coloration.
Mars: A close neighbour to earth, the Prime of the civilisation of Martians is long past its prime. The Martians where once singular beings that where split into two distinct "Races" the Green Martians and The White Martians. their dynamic is complicated. Martians also split themselves into the Pole Dwellers who live sedentary lifestyles and Desert dwellers who are nomadic. Most of Mar's remaining cities are located underground fed and watered by the sacred river. Martians are telepathic and are natural shapeshifters. Their civilisation is long past its glory days but it still holds strong. even though a plague wiped out large parts of its population and forced others into an extended hibernation.
end note: though I did not make reference to it in great detail these are not from any one singular cannon interoperation. Instead these profiles where created with my AU Earth 1515 in mind. Earth 1515 is a mashup of multiple Cannons including but not limited too: DC Animated universe, Young Justice, Extended DCU, Arrowverse, My adventures with superman, Teen Titans (and Go...Barely) several mishmashes runs of comics including silver and golden age material.
alongside a healthy (or probably toxic if I'm being honest) dose of my imagination.
though the info i present here is all cannon in one version or another.
Anyways i could make more of these if there's an interest, I've been going off and having fun messing with DC's Alien worldbuilding, because outside of well these planets, it can be a bit barebones... or non-existent.
