biggest non life threatening fear? like bugs, the dark, jumpscares? that kind of stuff for both.
Kaz is a bit of a scaredy cat (HA). He’s terrified of jumpscares and screamers, to the point of breaking down into a crying fit and being on edge for days after. The dark scares him too, he still sleeps hugging a stuffed animal (or Tinta) to feel secure at night. He also keeps a light on at night, claiming it helps him see if he needs to get up at night, but its really to make him more secure.
His biggest fear is being locked in a closet or any other tight dark room. He was locked in a closet as a punishment as a child, and his friends and family thought his fear of the closet was funny, to the point of pushing him in and locking the door as a prank on a regular basis. His fear of the dark stems from this, as does his more abstract fear of people seeing him cry and breakdown.
Tinta is afraid of very little, to be honest. Jumpscares honestly makes her laugh and give her a bit of a rush. Bugs and spiders are beautiful to her and the dark is full of beauty and gorgeous colors and sights.
What really scares her is being alone, even in the middle of a crowd. If she doesn’t know anyone in a crowd or she’s in a room with no people, she’s starts to panic and hyperventilate. It reminds her too much of the blank void and the AU’s she passed through before meeting Kaz. No one to talk to, no one who stayed. No one. Alone.
Its why she’s so clingy and quick to start a relationship. If she tells some one she loves them, they’ll stay, right? Its also why she hates minimalism, its a blank void that has to be filled or it will consume her, at least subconsciously.
