lowkey i want to read the book from the perspective of commander woodsinger
Commander Woodsinger: We'll talk about this later. Elliot: Fine, I won’t be listening. Commander Woodsinger: Cadet!
yes yes i want to see luke and serene but what i also want is to see woodsinger in her role as begrudging awkward distant mother figure to elliot
Sometimes a family is a snarky pacifist, a sunshine boy athlete, and a badass warrior.
And sometimes the extended family is the badass warrior's runaway-noble boyfriend, the sunshine boy's sister, mom, dad, and a few other family members, and a commander who still insists she doesn't particularly care about any of them (she is lying).
Please read In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan.
does commander woodsinger have a first name?
She does and it’s Kamara. :) Elliot is never allowed to know it, the commander finds their relationship uncomfortably personal as it stands!
I’m re-reading “In Other Lands” by @sarahreesbrennan and did some doodles of some of my favorites. I love this book so so much, it’s a must read!
Elliot: Only it was reported to me-
Woodsinger: By one of your spies?
Elliot: No, no. Not spies. People I have terrorized into doing my bidding and watching other people and places for me. You pay spies.
