HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY/ BIRTHDAY, TEARS OF THEMIS 🌹❤
Day 14 of the Pennashibruary - Valentines
[English]
Ahh, Valentine's Day, the favorite day of many shippers (like me LOL) and when tons of people go out for dinner or eat sweets and chocolates... But hey! Now you know why I chose February as the month for this art challenge (touché).
And well, this is my first Valentine's Day in this fandom (hooray! Btw Happy Valentines for you all), and like everyone else, I decided to show off my ship... but 20% more ✨cheesy✨ because it's NEVER enough Pennashi for me! 😅
So here's my cake for this special occasion! Whoever wants some, go ahead and eat (but hey, leave some for the others).
Anyway, let's see if anyone can guess who the roses are for... and their meaning.
"Promise me...that no matter what happens next, you'll stay strong. Keep pushing forward no matter what. Just like we always have." "Uhh...Yeah! I will!"
"I've been searching for you since the day you disappeared. I didn't realize you were right here this whole time." "You may be different now, but I couldn't be happier to have you back...brother." "I thought I knew what I wanted already. But I guess I was more lost than I thought." "I'm fighting not just for myself now, but for everyone I care about. And I'll stand by them, until my dying breath!"
"Arcus…you won’t lose me. I’m part of your memories, right? So I’ll always be here with you." "You remember what you always told me, right?" "Yeah...if I've got the courage, then I'll take a stand for what I believe in." "I believe...in our hearts!"
"It doesn't matter who you were, or what you're supposed to be. I don't care about any of that. You're you. And that's the partner I'll always want." "Don't ever forget...that I love you, Jet. I always have. Even if I have a really hard time showing it." "I know. You're you, Alex. That's what sisters do, right?" "...I love you too. More than anything in the world!"
No matter what, I'm always with you.

Nigeria, Yoruba - Ife Bust (side view) COUNTRY: NIGERIA ETHNIC GROUP: YORUBA MATERIAL: BRONZE HEIGHT: 17 in.
“The art of Ife flourished from about A.D. 800 to 1600. It exhibited great technical excellence and artistic refinement.
The artists of Ife developed a highly naturalistic sculptural tradition. This was translated into bronze and brass castings.
Bronze portrait heads and figures were produced to commemorate deceased kings and chiefs.
Commemorative heads were displayed on alters at numerous shrines and in the royal palace.
This head bears tribal markings of fine lines engraved vertically down the face.”

How far they’ve come in 2 years!! I didn’t really have a plan for either in the very beginning, so they look like very blank canvases. But now...now they feel like real people! Amazing! I am so emotional over this. Thanks for the support and interest in my original scifi story concept!
