November 2025 Comment War week 3 (November 15-22)
Still having a comment war with @redwinevinegar47 and @laudaddysmitten
Running totals (totally stollen from @redwinevinegar47. Thanks!):
@redwinevinegar47: Week 1 was 38 comments, Week 2 was up to 77 comments, Week 3 up to 110 comments.
@laudaddysmitten: Week 1 was 39 comments, Week 2 was up to 124 comments, Week 3 up to ??
@masnadies: Week 1 was 44 comments, Week 2 was up to 109 (research!), Week 3 is up to 150 comments.
And oh! (just one oh-- with no italics, mind! I'm tired, friends, and I read it, I don't write it)
Anyway, oh how rambly my comments are lately! So even if I fail in the number of comments, I'm enjoying them a little more than I probably should be.
What am I reading this week? (Less, obviously. And mostly one-shots. And I've been busy, so apologies to those who I've forgotten yet again) Also, clearly last week while having no idea how to link to AO3, I mostly got it right and today I completely failed. What am I doing wrong?

Augh, why does it do that?!
Sweeter than Fiction by @ineffablerainstorm.
This is one of the first longform AU fanfic WIPs I was ever addicted to, and it just wound up this week! It has a Tim Brown who was very much himself, no better or worse, but whom I loved to hate for Reasons we won't get into but made this perfect for me. It has pseudonyms and lies and Gabriel as fitness guru, retired ladies and goats and naming challenges and fanfic and ALL the books, and I had a lovely journey with them all.

Speculation on the first time Aziraphale had a drink.
A very short but sweet glimpse at Aziraphale's continuing exploration of food and his insatiable curiosity, and what happens with the glass of red wine on the table and after. It's sweet, but it also demonstrates one of my favourite things about Aziraphale: that he wants to explore and delight at all the things in the world! The voices are spot-on and you will be right there hearing and seeing everything as if it were Companion to Owls, part 2.
I also explored some short but very fun fics about humans trying to buy books from Aziraphale. You can link to all of them here:
