do you have to officially sign up for this shindig?
There’s no official sign up. To participate you just need to send in the links to your comments. As soon as we get that, your name will be entered in the challenge and you’ll have a dedicated sheet on the scoreboard!
About the fics:
Hey guys, the fic doesn't have to be new right? Just new to us?
The only requirements for the fic are that it has a Once Upon a Time femslash main pairing and it can be found on AO3. It can be old, it can be new, it can be a one-shot, a multi-chapter fic, a drabble, a 100K fic, something you’ve read already many times…
It’s not unusual to comment on rereads too, and the authors usually love that.
About the comments:
Umm I often comment on individual chapters in longer fics. Will each comment be counted? Or will it be one comment per fic. I particularly want to know because I'm gonna be starting Angsty's Prophecy thingy. :-)

About the rewards:

The person with the most points gets to choose first from our four authors. The person with the second most points gets to choose from the remaining three authors and so on.

Every comment is important but there is a difference between a comment and a review. We want to encourage you to review the stories. This is not mandatory at all, but a way to earn more points to get that prompt from our volunteering authors.
How to earn points:
- 1 pt: Basic Comment (example: I love this fic!)
Then you can earn additional points for
- 1 pt: Quoting the fic
- 1 pt: Analyzing the fic

Before we look at the comments worth 2 and 3 points, we want to remind you that EVERY comment is beautiful and wonderful! Don’t ever feel bad or guilty for not leaving a lengthier review. You do what you can do., and that is perfect.

there was so much beautiful fluff happening and i knew angst was coming but it kept getting closer to the end and it wasn’t there and then you do this! such a painful cliffhanger!
such a wonderful chapter though. i loved getting the little glimpses of their childhoods and all the domesticity (i’m such a sucker for domestic lady loving witches omg this hit that so perfectly). and amanita is really growing on me! “crush them?” !!!!! you perfect child. and i’m so glad she’s not hurt after that. but what even emma!?! why are you doing the thing??
and are they going to have to deal with cora’s coven again? i have so many questions! just ignore me, i’m sure i can hold out til the next chapter. (source)
Examples of comments worth 3 pts:
What a story! I had to stop at several places to just read a sentence again, to think… and then read again. This bit was where I stopped for the longest - “She didn’t let herself think about the way that twinge of emptiness from somewhere near her heart without Regina must mean it was full with Regina.” Just so incredibly well written!
The songs aren’t familiar to me, apart from the first one, and it was nice to find a reference to the lyrics (and the general mood of the song) in the first part.
As for the relationship, that’s actually plausible. Realistic, even.
Yep, looks like another story to be downloaded and saved, to be read over and over again. And bookmarked. And the whole nine yards.

I’m squealing -and I never squeal! It just makes me so damn giddy reading these two the way you write them. It’s such a gift that despite the direction of the show, fanfic authors still have the characters. I’m really grateful that you stay with them and keep on writing these stories. <3

Of course Emma needs to tell Regina everything, especially the things that are going to affect their future (and Henry having a relationship with Neal is that kind of thing).
“Every son needs his father.” || I do have problems with this message. Every kid needs a loving parent or three, but gender has nothing to do with it. Regina has already a more parental role in Henry’s life than Neal. Just because Neal and Henry are biologically related doesn’t mean that Neal is a parent. Sure Emma could’ve told earlier but the way you’ve described Neal I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a couple of more kids somewhere he doesn’t know about. (source)
