Swear, will be returning to tiny guys soon, just having a real fun time illustrating these mugs. Also thank you to everyone who was like ‘hey, I follow you on Tumblr!’ That stopped by Common Ground Fair this past weekend, it was a handful of folks, but is just the coolest thing any time it happens.

Went to the farmers market at the Common Ground Fair yesterday and, among other things, got pie pumpkins. So today I'm making pumpkin puree.

First, cut open the pumpkin and remove the seeds and stringy bits. Then cut it into chunks.

The steam it until a fork can easily go through.

Then let it cool, scoop the soft insides off the rind, mash it up with a large fork or potato masher.

Then I portion it into 1-cup servings, and freeze until I'm going to make cookies or bread or whatever.

I got 5 cups from 2 pie pumpkins.
