The socialists and Islamists certainly couldn’t agree in Sudan. Even with so many common enemies, they went to civil war with each other.
Socialism is a religion that promises utopia without God. This is mutually hostile with Islam, and really anything.

Watching 2 extremes working together is fun.
At work, we have these two installers who work very well and efficiently together. They've also become friends outside of work.
One is a 50 year old white pot smoking communist who when he starts talking politics says "I don't want to sound like a crazy communist but...(spews Marxist manifesto)"
The other is a Vietnamese dude who fled with his family from Vietnam when he was 10 and spent the next 2 years as boat people until making it into the US. He's a wheeling and dealing staunch capitalism with zero love for communism in any way.
These 2 guys are good friends and good colleagues as well.
We can put political differences aside and work together. If you can't, then you're the problem.
