checking community posts actually sux ass cuz i never actually check what ppl say in those communities unless it comes across me when i scroll, i check them so that i dont have notifications idrc abt
Why am I seeing community posts on the dash? I thought the community posts were for..like...in said community 🤔
Does anyone know how to hide all these community posts that keep popping up on the For You page? Half of the posts it's showing me on my dash are just posts from a random ass community. It's every one or two posts on the dash. It wouldn't be so bad if the posts were related to stuff I post and interact with, but it's random stuff like Arcane and Harry Potter, which I haven't so much as looked at.
Does anyone know if I can make those community posts ish things go away from my dash??
@staff can you stop putting random community posts, from communities i’m NOT in, in my feeds? not only is it antithetical to the purpose of communities but it’s dangerous for the people posting in said communities. you keep showing me posts from “teen lesbians” when i myself am a 29 year old. in what world should i ever be seeing those posts? those teens are posting expecting only to be seen by the people in that community and now those posts are being put in random feeds. are those teens aware? would they be okay with this? do they know who could be seeing them talk about being a teen lesbian? who could be fetishizing and objectifying them without their knowing?
i understand communities can be made public or private therefore this particular group is public but i’m sure people will want to know that individual posts are now being put in people’s feeds whether they care to be in that community or not.
if i wanted to join communities, i would. i don’t need these posts forced onto my feed but i most especially don’t need to see posts not intended to be seen outside of the community they’re posted in.
