Everything on my timeline is about Percy Jackson and I
Is this what it feels like to have fomo but for something actually worthy? Like I’ve never read twilight or 50 shades and never cared. Why does this feel different???

Onion! Do you have any tips for someone who is gonna go to grad school in the future?
Find your support group and stick to them like glue.Don’t feel guilty about it either.
Grad school was stupidly difficult for me for a number of reasons. A teacher of mine in undergrad once described grad school as going into a barn in the middle of summer when the barn’s on fire. If you don’t have to, don’t do it. I always thought that was an exaggeration. Now I don’t.
It’s worth it, though. The things I accomplished, the things I learned, and the friends I made - I’m super proud of all of it. I’m less proud of how hard of a hit grad school took on my mental health. I’m still struggling to get past that. But, like I said - find your support group, whether that’s online friends, family, or fellow grad-school colleagues. Folks you can tell anything about your experience and who will listen to you when you’re overwhelmed for the seventh time that week. Don’t feel guilty about how often you need them. True friends will understand that this is a short, intense time in your life, and will be there for you when you get out. Your friendships will be all the stronger for it - and probably your mental health, too.
Also don’t be afraid to seek help when things get overwhelming. A lot of schools have free health clinics for students, which include doctors and counselors. If you reach a point where you think you need to see someone, you probably needed to see them a few weeks ago. At that point don’t debate about it any longer. Stuff the guilt into a box and go talk to someone.
Grad school will try to convince you you’re wrong about everything. Wrong about your career paths, wrong about your own talents and skills, wrong about your friends and your answers in class and even your own thoughts. Imposter syndrome hits everyone. Grad school is a breeding ground for it. Recognize it, say hello to it when it comes, and keep going. If a school lets you in for a program, they already saw the value in you. You earned your spot there. You earn it simply by showing up for class every day. Keep your head down, keep your chin up, and keep going.
Don’t let guilt run your experience. It will try. It will try so, so hard. I wrote positive notes to myself on sticky notes and kept them in plain sight. “Love anyways” was stuck on the back of my front door. “Write your thesis” was on my laptop for the better part of a year. “You made it” was an alarm that went off on my phone every night at 11pm. It sounds silly, but when I wasn’t able to keep up the positive self-talk, my sticky notes and my friends did it for me. Absolutely invaluable.
If you have other questions about grad school feel free to ask <3 once again my apologies for the delay, social media totally took a backburner and I forget it exists sometimes.
stardust crusaders is a lot better after the first time tbh
by overpromising and underdelivering, sjm is starting to lose me as a fan.
😬
The hype around all things sjm is much like her characters - the most, all the time. Just... calm down folks!!!
Ok sooooo the excerpts on Instagram I was not impressed with. Not everyone has to be the most everything (beautiful sarcastic smart tough kickass) all the time 😴 every character becomes a caricature of themselves
I should make a list of my fandoms at some point, though this is primarily ygo blog
I'm Zayn doing things by himself
