Tim looks over the shopping list in his hands, double checking that nothing has been forgotten to be added. Knowing his luck he’ll go to the store, get what’s on the list, come back and find that somethings missing. It always happens!

“We ready?”

Tim glances up away from the list and watches as Kon walks towards him. His boyfriend is putting his phone and wallet into his pockets and is beaming at Tim as he approaches. The two of them were going to the store together, the list in Tim’s hands is the Titan’s shopping list because their kitchen is seriously running low on stock. If they want to eat in the next couple of days, they really need to go and get some groceries.

Instead of being at the Tower, they’re currently staying in one of their safehouse apartments they’ve set up (or rather Tim set up in case of emergency). Nothing’s happened, just after a mission the night before the four of them had been to exhausted to travel back to the Tower, this apartment had been closer and they’ve ended up staying all night and day. It’s because of this that they need to go and get some supplies.

In response to Kon, Tim nods and folds the paper and tucks it into his pocket. He turns away from Kon and shouts down the hallway. “We’re heading out now, we’ll be back in a bit!”

At the end of the hallway the other two were together in the living room binge watching films.

“Okay!” Came a response seconds later.

Tim turns back to Kon and finds his boyfriend opening the door. With a cheeky smile Kon gestures him to go through first. “After you.”

Unable to help himself, Tim smiles back and shakes his head teasingly. “Oh no, please, after you.”

“Please, I insist.” Kon says smirking.

“Well you know what they say, ladies first.” Tim comments back.

Kon raises an amused eyebrow. “Despite that being irrelevant and inaccurate right now, I think age before beauty fits better.”

“True, but between us surely it would be beauty before wisdom.”

“In fact, it’ll be more you better walk your asses out that door before I kick them out!”

Cassie’s shout stops whatever retort Kon had on the tip of his tongue. Her comment breaks the both of them and they splutter out laughing at their stupid antics. Once they get over themselves with their cheeks hurting from smiling so much, Tim gives in and exits through the door first, Kon is right behind him and shuts it as he leaves.

As they walk down the drive Kon throws an arm over his shoulders and drags him in close. Tim presses against Kon’s side tightly, enjoying the warmth and sense of safety the Kryptonian provides.

Kon presses a kiss to his hair as they walk down the street towards the store a few streets over. “You’re amazing, you know that?”

Tim hums, warmth running through him at the compliment. He turns his head and glances up at Kon. “You’re just as incredible.”

Kon looks amused at his response and with a smirk playing on his lips he comments, “Well what if I said that you’re absolutely divine then?”

Tim snorts. He reaches up and links his fingers through Kon’s. “Nope, we’re not getting into it. We’re not having this pissing contest.”

“I have no idea what you’re on about.” Kon’s voice implies he knows exactly what Tim’s on about.

Tim shakes his head in amusement and laughs lightly at the ridiculousness of it all. If it weren’t for Cassie he and Kon would probably still be at the door trying to one up one another. It happens often, their competitive natures coming out challenging one another to see who would come out on top. It ranges in a variety of things and can sometimes get out of hand, but it’s all harmless fun.

Tim loves this playfulness side of their relationship, it can help make things seem easier and lighter, knowing they can have a laugh and a joke with one another over the smallest of things. Even during the darkest of days Kon always gives him a reason to smile and that’s something Tim hopes would never change.
