The issue is that pulling Daigo-san by the necktie to surprise him into shutting the hell up only works the first couple times, after which it stops being a surprise and instead starts causing an insufferably smug and provocative little smirk to appear, and that becomes the new thing Alan needs to make him stop doing, and surprise kisses are also only surprising for a while, and in conclusion, Alan didn’t expect exactly how exponentially fast things sometimes, uh, escalate.

(AND IT IS ALSO ALWAYS RIGHT TIME FOR KAKI/SATOSHI, AS ANIME CONTINUES TO PROVE)

Satoshi loves Alola, instantly and a little more every day; not only for the training with Kaki (and Bakugames), going out for lunch with Kaki (and Maamane and Mao), getting Kaki’s (and Lillie’s) help with homework, watching TV with Kaki (and Rotom), doing groceries with Kaki (and the professor), the helping out at Kaki’s family’s farm all day and ending up having a sleepover with Kaki (and Kaki’s little sister), the long walks on the beach with Kaki (and Pikachu) — but all that is right up there at the top of his list of favorite things about Alola, along with the bright sun, the sea, the Pokémon and the pancakes.
