Thank you to all the amazing people out there who have been cheering us on. Besides the 40hrs home we’ve been in for 13 days today, but the news is finally shifting our way. . .. .. . My body survived the onslaught of this newest whoops and is (🤞🤞) trying to do its best to come around. Still not eating but he NG is gone, which is the hardest part for me. Surgery has been tabled for now due to good news and fear my heart couldn’t handle generalized anesthesia without a weakening or heart attack from my potassium levels. The best part is that I actually feel a bit better today and I can talk again! Four days without talking is surreal. . .. .. . It’s going to be a marathon coming back from this one, especially bc even more weight loss was not in our plans but for the first time in days I feel hopeful and my smile in genuine. I’m sorry I haven’t replied to all the comments but I’ve read each one and hold them close to my heart when things are difficult. It’s been a weird week and a half. I thought I’d be home ages ago but then came The Drug. The Drug was something I had to take no matter the side effects, and the side effects included blurred vision so bad I couldn’t hardly make out shapes, let alone any specifics. Soooo today is the first time I am able to see my phone with the fonts all the way up., I haven’t been able to even make out my phone testing in the table. I’ve spent the past days talking and listening, enjoying podcasts, savoring audiobooks and having near constant help to get where I needed to go. Now that the drug is getting out od@my system I feel like I’m seeing better every hour. Hoping to head home tomorrow, Trevor informs me that there are packages and a pile of mail for me to go through which is very exciting. I didn’t do #getyouryarnwishesgranted this year bc honestly, I am just so thankful to still be here. But now I am. . . I am not doing very well. The weight loss continues as my 5’7” frame is now down to 114lbs. Eating is painful and now they’re discussing tube feeding. About 80% of my hair has fallen out from starvation:”/malnutrition and mentally, that messes with my head. .... and today they made it officially clear that my body wouldn’t survive pregnancy, so we cannot have biological children. . . What I’m asking for is that you tell someone in your life that they are special, valued, important and loved. That no matter what happens to them, it is always worth the fight bc they are worth it. . . I love this knitting community, you’ve gotten me through a lot really difficult times. Soooo I love you all. You’re all important. You’re all valued. You’re all loved. You’re all worth the fight. Your personalities and projects bring light into the darkness.
