Got Wood in the Seventies
If you are interested, there is a brand new video to accompany this house!!
Let's begin this brand new location by taking a look at what the main floor had to offer, including the incredible hand hewn beams and all of the stone work!!
Custom built in 1978 this house that sat out in the country surrounded by trees would have felt like an oasis to its owners in an area that otherwise feels like giant mega city. With lots of hardwood incorporated into the build, clapboard siding on the exterior, shiplap on the ceilings as well as a number of recycled hand hewn logs from an old barn that were used for posts and beams. Stone was also used as an exterior veneer on the bottom half of the house, as well as inside to create the fireplaces.
Unfortunately, this house was demolished along with a few others that all sat on fairly large properties. They are being replaced with more densely packed but much needed single family homes.
