Anyone notice...

After Maverick and Rooster steal the F14 from the bombed air strip and Rooster notices the two bandits in the air with them Maverick tells Rooster to put his mask on and just wave and smile BUT it occurred to me... Why do they need to smile when their faces are covered in their oxygen masks!!!? No one, literally no one is going to see it if they do smile. It's completely redundant! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
