Question, its ok if you don't want answer but:
You said you were comp-contact, what does that mean to you?
Like, general philosophies about contact etc etc
Idfk. I hate contact discourse. I'll do stuff like.. read fiction, engage in roleplays, date people who aren't those things but look like them (eg: someone who isn't a child but kinda looks like one).
I don't think it really matters what my stance is. To me, minors under the AOC (because AOC is subjective, but when I say AOC, I mean 16) cannot consent to a romantic relationship or sexual encounter with an adult. I do not believe that animals can either.
However, paras aren't just romantic and sexual, either. I have plenty of familial relationships with minors, they see me as their father figure, and there's nothing weird about that. Making it weird is sexualizing purely familial based relationships.
You can have non-romantic, non-sexual relationships with minors and animals, and that can be considered "contact," due to- the non-static nature of paraphilias.. but that's not inherently "morally corrupt" because it's "normal."
I don't view contact stance as a very good indicator of moral values. This is mostly due to the fact that you can be pro-contact and never offend.
I call myself comp-c, because it makes the most sense to me. If I had to choose a leaning stance, I would say pro-c. Not "pro-c" in the way of offending or in the way of being "against consent," pro-c in the way that I believe there are other ways you can go about it without offending or violating someone's right or inability to consent..
Such as engaging in non-romantic non-sexual relationships with the object of attraction, engaging in roleplay settings, reading fiction based around it, kinks like ageplay / DDLG & petplay / animalization, certain forms of harmed-harmful relationships, finding someone who "appears" or "presents" as said thing without "being it."
It's not bad to befriend a minor or adopt a pet. It's bad to sexualize them, objectify them, force them to do things against their will, touch them inappropriately, etc.
People make out like just befriending a minor is a red flag. No, it isn't. People are fully capable of having friendships and not making them weird. Them being a child doesn't automatically mean you're sexualizing them. People need to grow up, tbh.
