Lol. Yesterday I replied to two threads that I’ve owed responses on since December 2nd & 3rd of 2020. It is February. You never have to worry about making me wait for threads. I understand.

Anyway! Hi! I landed on your blog knowing absolutely nothing about Dominion and the characters from the show and w o w I could not have asked for a better introductory course than your writing!  It’s fabulous, and you do so much characterization in everything you write, be it short or long every word bleeds for the character you’re writing and it’s amazing.   Also, selfishly, I am very interested in writing Gabriel & Gabriel where one of them thinks humanity is (as the kids say) lit and the other fucking hates humanity, that is a good cocktail for some juicy RP.   And the aesthetic moodboards that you make are so brimming with tone and emotion (the songs really up the ante) and I love seeing them on my dash!

Once again I am telling you that OCs are amazing and I love them. Especially Bridget who you write with an exasperation that I can feel flowing off the screen. She deserves two breaks from the bullshit hand life has dealt her and unfortunately instead all I did was send the worst angel her way.  And going along with that, you have an amazing gift for threading the needle of writing a character who isn’t sure about/doesn’t want to be in a situation and creating organic, logical reasons for her to stay.  It’s a tough line to walk and you’ve walked it with style! I’m also super interested in writing with your angels more! Even if Gabriel is reluctant because of how he is. I’m psyched! So it shall happen!

[ What's one thing you like about Micheal? ]

(( ooc; i sure hope this is an ooc question becaise the ic answer is... well we’ll get there! 

okay so there are many answers to this question, but i’ll go with the three that popped into my head first!

here’s what i like about them as:

one; as a character in a roleplay environment Gabriel does not hate a lot of people but wowzers he has had such a strong hate reaction to your Micheal.  And it’s not so much anything they did as much as it’s what they stand for.   They are fundamentally incompatible and that’s fun to write.  Neither of them are wrong, but they both think the other is wrong and they’re both unwilling to bend on the fundamentals of their beliefs and that’s neat, I like complicated shit like that.

two; as a character i’m reading about  If I was reading a novel about them my favorite thing would probably be the  relationship they have with weapons.  And how they prioritize that above relationships with people.  And talk to their sword.  I gravitate towards characters who have a Weird Thing.  I can’t help it. They’re my favorites.

three; as an example of craft It’s certainly not easy (or at least I don’t think it’s easy, lol) to take a hefty and metaphor-packed source like The Bible and use it as the basis for a character who’s so full of life and who feels very real. But they are one such character.  And in that regard their attitude towards war is something I find really interesting and well written as being Bible-compatible but also more fleshed out.

Imagine me cracking my knuckles because compliment hour is back!

First: Aesthetics!  I love the way your blog totally suits Azrael, from the left sidebar to the clean, clear layout. It’s excellent.  Second: (And this might just be me gushing over things I’m weak for) I love the thought and care you put into her journey from being a militant archangel who’s above it all to someone who feels remorse and who cares for people, but slowly, starting with just one person, and then just one family line, and then eventually humanity. But she never loses the core of who she is, she just learns to apply it differently. And that is SUCH a good character journey I can’t help but adore it!  I also adore the point from which you’ve chosen to write her here, abandoned, cut off, and out in the modern world fully out of her element is such a vunerable place for such a tough angel and it makes for some interesting scenarios.  Third: I super enjoy writing my Gabe with your Azrael because they have that same-team-different-attitudes thing going that’s really fun to bounce back and forth. He wants to teach her how to use twitter so bad.  And he knows he’s usually annoying her a little but he can’t help it, he had a great time hanging out with her, she balances him out.

Your icon is gorgeous and sets the stage for the rest of your blog which is also gorgeous.  We’re not writing together at the moment but I’m down if you are.  :)  But even if we’re not writing I will follow you for as long as you’ll have me because I really respect the hell out of anyone who defends and speaks for female characters the way you do for Ruby.  The love you have for this character is always at the forefront of your writing and it’s beautiful even when you’re mad about the way others discuss/treat her. And tbh you’re right to be angry because Ruby deserves better than the fandom gives her.  She’s awesome.

You’re another one! Thank you for labeling your about/bio page ‘google doc’ you’ve saved me from myself!  I don’t know why I get so excited about it but I do. It makes me happy to know I should ‘open in new tab’.   And once again: OCs are the height of creative writing and the thought and effort and care and love you’ve put into Katie shines through.  Plus, your promo is gorgeous, your blog theme is on point, and the aesthetic stuff you reblog tells a consistent story about who Katie is. And she’s wonderful. She’s got a powerful femininity that you inject into your writing of her and that I adore as a character choice.  I also love all the interactions we’ve written and look forward to the ones we’ll write in the future.
