Some illustrations of Medieval Russian Cavalry I retouched to feature the colours and coat of arms I designed for House Vojvodin, the ruling family of The Tsardom of Rus’skaya. These illustrations are for a low-fantasy setting of my design with technology equivalent to the late medieval and renaissance periods, where formations of heavily armoured and mounted knights fight alongside armies of pikemen and matchlock musketeers, where medieval-style stone castles are gradually being outsourced in favour of both lavish country estates and devoted military fortifications due to the advancements made in artillery technology, and where rising nation-states in the form of Kingdoms and Empires look beyond the boundaries of the known world in search of greater wealth and territory. In context to the lore of my low-fantasy setting, House Vojvodin is the ruling family of The Tsardom of Rus’skaya, or my fantasy setting’s rough equivalent to The Tsardom and Empire of Russia during the Tsarist Period. Revolver Lovers Anonymous (I Love Revolvers Too!)
Something funny or at least something I find hilarious just happened a few moments while I was coming out of the bathroom after finally taking a shower.
So, I’m coming out of the batheroom, having just dryed off from taking a shower and dressing into some lounge clothes and I hear someone talking about guns on the television in the living room.
I noticed that my dad is half asleep in the living room just from the sound of his breathing and I noticed he got that was while enjoying some random gun focused videos from Youtube playing on the television. This is a common occurance, as my dad loves watching videos about guns from Youtube on the television, and I’ll join him and listen to them myself on occasion, depending on if I’m in the mood for some gun videos.
Anyway, the moment I step out of the bathroom, I hear the next guy on the video introduce himself kind of like the way people do at an Alcoholic Anonymous kind of meeting and following that up with the statement of “and I love revolvers!”
Of course, I can’t help but laugh myself silly at that and reply out loud in a half shouting kind of way “I love revolvers too!”
Sorry, I’m not sorry at all. It was one of those semi uncommon moments where I can’t stop my smart ass side from coming out and speak his mind.
But it is true. I fucking love revolvers. I love revolvers almost as much as I love a good old classic shotgun. And I love them both almost but not quite as much as I love a good old crossbow or compound bow.

Compound Bows
The following factors should be taken into account while purchasing a bow:
Think about a left- or right-handed bow. In fact, you should choose a left- or right-handed bow by considering your eye-dominance.
The draw length is influenced by the bow's length, so keep that in mind while buying a bow.
Depending on the purpose, calculate your draw weights. Set a dumbbell off the floor and position your non-drawing arm, knee, and foot on a weight bench.
Your optimal weight for training purposes will be the highest weight you can lift for 15-20 repetitions.
In a comfortable, arms-out position, measure the length of your wingspan from the tips of each middle finger to determine your optimal draw length.
Now let’s focus on compound bows.
Compound bows are enhanced for increased draw weights and poundage. Similar to classic recurve or long bows, compound bows are drawn by hand; the main distinction is that compound bows feature an extra string cable that passes over a pulley and an oblong cam, or two cam pulleys in double cam bows. The majority of the draw weight is transferred to the cable string by the cam pulley when the archer pulls the string, making it simple for him to grip the pulley string while shooting. Compound bows are often manufactured with an alloy aluminium riser, composite limbs consisting of fibre glass or carbon fibre, and aluminium cans. The kinetic energy of an arrow shot from a modern compound bow is comparable to that of a bullet.
Hide Out carries compound bows such as the Bear Cruzer G2, Bowtech Carbon Zion, Bowtech Revolt,X, Compound Rolan Cambium Hybrid Bow Kit, Diamond Edge 320, Diamond Infinite Edge, Henan Dual Bow, and many other types of crossbow.
