I have poured hundreds of dollars into trying to upgrade my PC only to have it run worse than before I started. I could have instead just bought a premade amazing PC instead of thinking I was clever and essentially flushing money away. I feel like crying everyday

All I wanted to do was update my graphics card and had to get a new CPU to get that to work, and then a new motherboard to slot in the CPU, and now I need new RAM because the ones I have don't fit in the new motherboard. I feel that fucking woman that swallowed a fly

Hey, remember that new graphics card I bought and installed by myself? I just found an instruction book, installation disk, and wires hidden under the packing foam in the bottom of the box it came in.

Whoops. Never a good sign when you have parts left over.

Well... it seems to be working fine without any of this. Even though this wire does look just like it fits exactly where I plugged in something that “kinda sorta fits and will probably work.” I should probably open up my computer again and install it right later.

Project Naugus - The Beginning

Simply put, after seeing first-hand how strong computer emulators are these days (The Nintendoo Revolution and the PlayStation2 have very strong emulators!), I decided to build my own emulator machine under the name "Project Naugus" (after the Mobius character of the same name).

The problem started when picking a case. I already picked a CPU and motherboard (based on the options given from the article "How I Built the Media Center of My Dreams for Under $500"), but, when I got to the cases, I discovered that they were too big. I may need to build my own one. (Since I expect the machine to be rather portable, I am going to need a small weight and size.) Kaumena!

At least I (re?)learned about socket types...
