Due to Electronic Shenanigans and spare hard drive issues, I won’t have access to my computer for a bit. Therefore, all my writing progress until the computer drama is over will rely on my phone or something.
The no-computer saga begins tomorrow morning.

In other news: I’ve been without sound on my computer for weeks. The first time this happened, I rolled back the sound drivers and that worked. And then the sound just stopped again. So I reinstalled the new drivers and that worked. Then it didn’t. I rolled them back again and that still didn’t work. I had just resigned myself to life without sound... But on another whim I reinstalled them again last week and for 5 days now I’ve had sound again.
So I guess I have to do that whole song and dance every time this happens?? I mean, I’ve heard Windows 10 can have sound issues... Is this it? Because it’s really flippin’ annoying.
I’m just happy I can hear chat notifications. Please hold out until my mid-week bestie chat. *crosses fingers*
That computer guy came today to fix my pearly mom’s computer. She go a brand new computer and she fucking hates it as well as having the computer guy coming all fucking week. I just catch up on my reading both the books I love to read and my anger management shit and my sleep. This afternoon Winterball (a pet puff) and I had a nice long nap.
Taking a moment to be glad that chrome on my phone remembers passwords for me because I don't know my own passwords and with my computer down I can't get to my password list. -_- This is the second time this has happened to me (the other being when I accidentally deleted said file while transferring to a new computer). Note to self: start a hard copy of passwords at earliest convenience. This is ridiculous.
That being said, I've been busy this morning... I'm having a new computer overnighted. What's a little more expense for overnight when I'm already spending when I hadn't intended to? Mostly I just want to be sure I'm here when it's delivered and I'm off tomorrow. And plan to be home anyway.
As far as the old computer... I've ordered a (relatively yeesh) cheap monitor and cable adapter from Amazon. Hopefully I can figure out how to hook it up and transfer the files to my external hard drive. Not exactly sure how to do that without a screen on the original computer... But I'll cross that bridge when I get there, I suppose. Worse come to worse, maybe I can enlist the help of someone tech savyer than me. All else failing, I'll take it to microcenter and see what they can do.

Never updating Nvidia Geforce Experience Graphic Driver again on this old computer with lower end specs. Every fucking time I do, after the forced restart it doesn't want to connect my screen with the PC despite the tower on and me hearing it hum. The keyboard seems to go on an off and not respond and I always have to shut off the computer several times as that seemed to be the only thing I could do to get it to respond. This time is the worst, however, as it absolutely refuses to come back to me no matter what I do.
Most of my life is with this computer and I hate how a lot of my hobbies are tied to it. Because now I am tied to it and its fate. So upset right now.

Best buy decided they didn't need to tell me that my computer was sold out, and even though I paid like almost $40 for expedited shipping, they were just going to not have it arrive early, but also like... it's not going to be in stock until Aug 1. So now I'm going to get a refund and ship another one.
