One of my favorite meals at Smith is when Comstock/Wilder serves Noodle Bowl! My friends and I always line up early so we can get the food as fast as possible. Comstock/Wilder is Smith’s Asian Fusion dining halls, and while it isn’t the same as my mom’s homemade noodles, it’s something.
Food was actually a big adjustment for me, coming to Smith. At home, I would eat Chinese food every day and rarely went out to restaurants or even fast food chains to eat. At Smith, I had to learn how to eat raw vegetables far more often than I was used to. I definitely appreciate all the hard work dining hall staff put into producing mass quantities of high quality food and Smith’s commitment to using local produce, but it was a hard adjustment nevertheless. After over two years at Smith, I have definitely learned how to change my diet and I have learned to be more adventurous with my food. But it’s things like Noodle Bowl that let me have a taste of home while at Smith!

Is your room worth showing off to prospective students? Of course it is! Email me a photo or two, your house, and your class year to [email protected] to see it featured here.
All Moved In!
I arrived at Smith yesterday (I’m here early for the final round of Outdoor Orientation Leader training before the first years arrive in a couple days - which I’ll post about more later) and I’m now officially moved in to my room in Comstock House! Here are some pictures (in daylight and nighttime) of my room. It’s really spacious and already feels like ~my own space~ which is just so nice. There are still a couple of things I need to put away and to go buy (like string lights for over my window) but over all I’m good to go!
