Happy St Patrick’s Day! From my dolls of Irish extraction. They’re not all full Irish, and all of them have different levels of connection to their heritage, but this is a holiday for the diaspora! So shut up and drink yer green beer!

The last doll of 2018 is the first doll post of 2019! Presenting Sasu, the druid of the wood, protector and custodian of the spirits that live there. She lives in a hollow tree, deep in the forest, and would be a total hermit if she could get away with it. Never wears shoes if she can help it, shoes interrupt her psychic connection to the grass...
She’s also Con’s great great somethingth grandniece. These things happen sometimes, when you wind up with a vampire in the family.
Art Vs Artist! the real reason i took selfies today
all the art I’m proudest of from this year has been doll faceups, and I actually finished all of these since last year’s AvsA! I only really do drawn art during inktober anymore, so this was easier than trying to find enough drawings. I’m gonna try to like, change that, this year, since I’ve remembered oh yeah i can totally paint? but I’m also really pleased with my output in dolls.
i’m doing my very first reroot right now! i decided i was doing a reroot instead of yarn wefts after I’d done the faceup RIP OH WELL
New year, new dress for Constance.
Knitted cape for autumn visiting
+ tiny basket!
Constance was another of my first repaints. I’ve learned a lot since then, so I thought I’d redo her to look a little more like herself. Darkened her hair some with markers too, mixed results Lazy pair of foxwives enjoys the afternoon sun~
A stomacher and a different underskirt, for the rococo shepherdess gown ~ now it's two dresses in one!~ 18th century isn't my usual wheelhouse, but I have always wanted to try making a stomacher! It's held on by four of the hook ends of hook and eye fastenings.
Progress on the fox den box house! A pair of chairs to match the wee wooden table. Tablecloth needs pressing badly lmao. Also finished the inside of the clothes chest- literally just mod podge and a paper bag. Everything else is sticks and scraps, and a pair of vampire girlfriends giving the overhead light a dirty look... I'll let 'em go back to bed
