Con: Oh yes. Yeah, you [at the writer and direcor Richard Heslop] tell the story. This is what hooked me, this story. This is how he sold it to me over the phone.
RH: There was a back story which we took out which was Fidel was on a clown themed orgy on a boat and his girlfriend had just seen Fidel go a bit too far and she just hit him over the head with her stiletto shoe and pushed him overboard. That's why he is such a misogynist and hates women so much. But we took that bit out, we just thought, let's not have an explanation. We got rid of a lot of script."
