not so fun fact: the loudest, most violent argument that eggsy and seraphim ever had occurred around... a year? a year and some change? after he and lycan had started dating. around the time that he was reintroduced to charlie.

because charlie, well. eggsy was fairly certain that he’d died. but lycan, nova, charlie himself (from a distance) had explained how he’d gotten there. eggsy learned about what lilith had ordered, the gate, what it could do.

and he’d gone downstairs by himself. looking for his father.

seraphim found him before he’d had much of a chance to try anything.

what conspired after that escalated into a shouting match that exists still as a recording, taped onto a disc in one of lilith’s desk drawers. she keeps it to remind her.

it’s an interesting dynamic. one of the younger kingsman recruits butting heads with a battle-scarred, war-torn senior agent of the roanoke society.

but just because it’s interesting doesn’t lessen it’s viciousness, or the fact that by the end...

lycan could hear eggsy’s cries. she knew the sound, and followed it. she found him on his knees on the red carpet in front of the gate, seraphim on the ground with him, an arm around his shoulders. they were both weeping. seraphim had a bruise blossoming along her jawline. eggsy had a split lip that had dribbled red near the corner of his mouth.

and lycan heard seraphim say softly, through her tears: “... you aren’t the only one who has looked for a road back to him. if one existed... i promise i would point you the right way. but we can’t go, eggsy. we can’t go.”
