THE KING’S MAN HEADCANON

Archie Reid was the last surviving member of the original Kingsman group; retired from field work for reasons of age, he continued offering advice and mentorship to younger agents until his last day.

He didn't have the satisfaction to see his mentee, James Spencer, becoming a Kingsman and inheriting the codename Lancelot.

Headcannons for where the kingsman/statesman fellows (or pick who you want lol) take you on your first date?

Gonna do my faves in no particular order 🥰

James (Lancelot) would take you out for dinner. He’s not really a good cook if he’s being honest, so he prefers not burning his apartment down any time soon. He’s the perfect gentleman while out though. Holding doors open for you or pulling your chair out for you to sit. Unlike some other agents *coughs* Bors *cough* James listens intently to what you have to say, never interrupts you and never says anything condescending or mansplains anything to you.

Harry (Galahad) takes you to the botanical garden for your first date. He’s really knowledgeable when it comes to plants and butterflies. And you find yourself lost in his voice and love how passionate he is about the topic. That doesn’t mean he gives you no room to talk, he lets you talk too, and loves listening to your input and passions.

Hamish (Merlin) cooks dinner for you, either at his apartment or yours (or if you’re an agent too he’ll cook at the kingsman mansion. This of course is only if you’re okay with being so alone with him the first date. If not he’s more than happy to take you out to a restaurant. He absolutely loves listening to you talk, and loves the way you laugh, both at your own jokes and his.

Alastair (Percival) would take you walking in the park. Maybe even by the waters. You would walk next to each other, chatting about yourselves, your dreams and your passions, what you loved doing on your spare time or what you did for a living (if you’re not an agent too of course). He would never go into detail about his job, just saying he worked with the army, to keep it kind of consistent with missions he would be sent on.

Eggsy (Galahad) would take you out for drinks, preferably somewhere Dean and his asshole friends wouldn’t be. Somewhere nice where he could be himself without having to look over his shoulder. As the drinks would come on the laughter and easy talk would come out. And you both found it hard to end the date, planning the second date before even leaving the first one.

Jack (Whiskey) takes you out dancing on your first date. It was kind of hard for him to start dating again after his wife was murdered. But the way you made your way over to him the first time you met had him wanting to know your name. He has you moving in sync with him on the dance floor sending your mind rushing.

What it’s like dating Agent Tequila

constant nights outs partying and having fun; music festivals, house parties, bars, clubs - you name it, you two have visited it once or twice 

but no matter what, he always made sure that you are safe and no guy puts his hands on you 

when you guys decide not to go out, you two would spend it at home, curled up together under the sheets to watch movies or tv shows that you two usually miss, or pillow talk for hours with music playing in the background

him not telling you anything about his missions to ensure your safety, but you usually go to ginger ale for information anyway 

free access to statesmen whiskey no matter the occasion

shootings lessons together because why not?

he teaches you basic self-defence moves to ensure that you can protect yourself when he isn’t with you 

stealing his jacket all the time because you can get away with it 

he finds it adorable just how much you seem to drown in the fabric of his clothing, and that just makes him more happy to let you steal his clothes

you aren’t fond of getting high, but you don’t stop him because you know it helps him cope with his stressful job 

this means you are usually left to deal with the aftermath - entertaining him until his high wears off and ensures that he doesn’t walk around the compound when he’s not fully sober yet  

once he is sober, he makes sure to make it up to you by bringing you on dates or spending the next day doing whatever you wanted

he helps you shop for clothing because he has a sense of style - so why not use that extra bonus benefit?

being dubbed the ‘power couple’ of the statesmen compound

you being the only one who can calm him down if he gets too angry or heated in a meeting

forehead kisses and loving words throughout the day 

a very PDA filled couple - hand-holding, hugs from behind, constant dates ( it annoys the others to no end, but they find it quite cute )

glaring at anyone who even dares to look over at you 

making sure to let every other guy know you are very much taken and maybe even working out his frustrations once you two are behind closed doors 

it’s not like you are complaining though
