sometimes ana wondered why she went to such lengths, why she kept a job -- a profession she didn’t need. as an assassin, she made more than enough money, not only that, she’d been alive for nearly five hundred years, leaving her multiple lifetimes to save up profits. but moonlighting at a clinic as a psychiatrist amused her. she enjoyed diving into other’s psyche, knowing people’s weaknesses and fears, she enjoyed exploring them. getting paid to do it was simply an added bonus. ruffling through some files at her desk, she looked up as she heard a knock at the door. ana was fairly sure she didn’t have any more appointments today but it wouldn’t be the first time she’d looked over one. ❝ it’s open, ❞ she called out.
