Grumble. He’d eaten all his food earlier and without his own kitchen, it wasn’t as if he could just make himself something. His eyes scanned the buildings around as his hand dug in his pocket for change. Maybe he could just buy some food, a donut or a small pastry couldn’t hurt, right?
Eyes landing on a bakery, for a moment his lips curved upward in an excited smile before he strode toward the bakery, his stomach grumbling once again. Slipping into the store he breathed in the pleasant smells before joining the line. His hand clasped at the change from his pocket, counting it out with momentary uncertainty.
It was almost his turn to purchase when a feminine voice demanded something from behind him. At first, he ignored it, believing she was speaking to someone else. Though when she repeated herself, Rin turned on his heel with his brows pinched in confusion.

Words hold no meaning lest the intent to act upon them isn’t far behind.
Just by listening to this smaller girl speak her mind is enough for Darius to deduce that she meant business. Harsh words were tossed around like nothing. They held no weight to her.
