Nobunaga’s konpeitou

The Sengokudama shop sells what they claim to be “era-appropriate konpeitou”.

According to the shop this was created using the 16th century recipe and methods, and this is what the konpeitou Nobunaga would have received from Luis Frois. It’s quite different from the modern day version that results in the Minesweeper bomb shape.
