I don't understand why people think DS9 was doing "Vulcan bashing'.
Chu'lak was a Vulcan, might show a negative side we should not forget the contexte. It was the Dominion war. Chu'lak got serious PTSD. And I think it's interesting. Human serial killer are totally drive by sexism, at least 99% of them. But in Chu'lak case, it might because part of the way Vulcan deal with their emotion (so it can be seen as a cultural thing) and part of his PTSD. I wonder how Romulan deals with that but since they kept their émotions, and there is a colonialist aspect in their culture, it's probably more a wish for domination... I don't know.
Solok was an asshole, a smart one who believe in Vulcan supremacy even if Starfleet allow him to pick only Vulcan on his crew. He's competitive and very arrogant.
In both case, it's not bashing. DS9 treated Vulcans more like individual character. The other trek show seems to put them en a pedestal.
