I think Julian is more on the abc side so I too find it interesting that he compared them to a “real life couple”. The note thing, yeah I mean I still think we need full context. I can buy Daryl writing the note since Carol told him she can’t see him anymore, which is basically her choosing zeke over him. In his heartbreak I can see him ‘thinking’ he belongs with Leah since he can’t be with carol. He writes it but doesn’t look for her himself *snort* I’m still pretty confident.
I always got that impression from him too, so that says a lot about how the scene comes across. Clearly, Carol’s and Daryl’s arc in this episode is meant to carry the emotional weight, not Leah’s and Daryl’s.
That note. I hate that fucking note with a passion because now I’m really struggling to make the emotional connection between the flashback and the present day arc. What does one heartbreak have to do with the other? Daryl felt abandoned by Carol in the past and now he feels abandoned by her again in the present? What’s the point of using Leah at all then except to give Dog a backstory that now feels like revisionist history? How in the world does Daryl justify yelling at Carol for running away, etc. if he almost did the same thing, unless the fight has absolutely nothing to do with how Carol treated him personally and all to do with surface level things like blowing up the cave and letting Negan out, which would be a total disservice to their however-many-year- long relationship. Whoa, okay, I’m ranting now. Sorry, just need to vent my frustration a bit. I’m still positive about Caryl, but boy do I really need to see this episode. Could there really still be something we’re missing that will make everything make sense??

In regards to Yennefer fighting. Mom: can’t she freeze them all with magic?
I’m thinking the dragon is going to eat them. Yep.
Yennefer killing the last guy. Don’t mess with my boyfriend.
Dad figuring out Borch is the dragon. Is that the guy? Isn’t he supposed to be dead?
Jaskier waking up. Kind of missed it.
Mom figuring out Borch is the dragon. I thought he died. He’s the dragon. (She only figured it out when he changed back, dad figured it out through the voice)
Dad: Well that’s not very nice. You shouldn’t yell during arguments, you should sit down and have a civil conversation, that’s how relationships work. Mom laughs.
Dad at the end of the episode: I’m very confused.

Little known fact that I have a girlfriend of two months (even though I made this blog as a very gay sophomore) which completely contradicts my entire aesthetic related to this walking pride flag of an account. At this point I’ve genuinely accepted that my branding was misleading and I’m somewhere in the “bi” area of sexuality. Whether that be bisexual, bi-romantic, etc., I do not know.
