So funny that I found myself here again so soon.  There are so many Congee Queen‘s all across the GTA now and it doesn’t come as a surprise because of how delicious the Chinese food is and how affordable it is.  The menu also offers a variety of rice, noodle, soup, congee, and BBQ items.   (more…)

After our Super Coring (now that they only occur every two weeks, it feels even more like a family reunion to dine with each other), we headed to Congee Queen at Centerpoint Mall for some good grub.  Congee Queen is not located directly inside of the mall but at the outside so you can clearly see it if you are looking for parking.   (more…)

Yum Yum Chinese Food.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants to go to would definitely be Congee Queen. There's a couple locations in Toronto, but unfortunately none of them are downtown (or that I know of at least).

  That dish that looks like potato cubes? Those are turnip patties. Doesn't sound too appealing, but I guarantee it is delicious! Neither of us were starving cows that day, but we still ordered way too much and had to wrap up pretty much everything you see on this table to go LOL 

stir-fry noodles with beansprouts*

fried turnip patties (normally comes with chicken and shrimp)*

bean curd and corn congee*

deep fried dough fritter wrapped in rice noodle*

Modern decor and delicious non-greasy Chinese meals make dining at Congee Queen feel like royalty. Creative twists to traditional dishes, like the Congee with shredded duck, Empress fried rice with eel and fish roe, and Fried chili turnip patties, add something different and delicious to the menu. This is yummy in my tummy.
