Back when I was still actively scuba diving, I'd take part in rescues of anything we'd find trapped in lobster cages that were illegally dropped onto coral reefs. Nearly every time this included releasing octopus that were trapped inside. Now that I know just how intelligent and advanced the beautiful creatures are, I defend them from the cruel and unnecessary "farming" that human monsters are attempting to enact.
Take action with me to ban neonicotinoids (neonics). Neonics are a pesticide that is highly toxic to insect and bird populations. Numbers of bees and birds have declined by the millions because they eat plants that have been treated by this chemical. Birds who eat the seeds of these plants or insects who have consumed this can suffer from convulsions, extreme weight loss, and death. Join me and the PIRG in urging the EPA to ban these pesticides.
Neonics are the most popular kind of insecticide used in the U.S., used liberally on our yards, gardens and parks every year.
Hey sorry for popping up like this! But I’m a new sea witch and I was collecting sea shells for my altar. Unknowingly I accidentally took one with a loving creature home with me! I’m panicking! The next time I can go to the beach is Monday and it may not live till then? What should I do with the lil sea creature and it’s shell? I’m so upset, the first time I try to do something devotional it turns out like this
I am so sorry this happened to you and this little creature. I understand it was all done by mistake. I have read stories about this happening before. The more I find out about cases like this, and the older I become, the less I am for beachcombing.
I am actually not educated enough to give you advice over this. I don't live near the Ocean and have never beachcombed.
I will, however, post this ask and hope and pray someone more educated who sees this will know what to do.
