As an adaptation of a stage play it's almost perfect tho#Medak and Nichols keep the single setting tight and near claustrophobic but in one or two key scenes broaden the scope to let the real#World intrude (most memorably in the beach scene)#Dark and distressing and painfully sad but with moments of shocking unexpected humour#Most of all it's incredibly violently human
