This is a stimboard cover of one of our favorite plays! We hope you enjoy and get to experience this wonderfully crafted story with us!
[below is a link based organization tool to help you find all content regarding this "production" of John Cariani's play Almost, Maine. This is to give a more organized flow and really give the feeling of it being like you're WATCHING the play with us!]
This show takes us among the lives of residents both from and outside of the mythical town of Almost, Maine, taking place in the moments of several lives all occurring at once. And all of these scenes take place in the same 10 minutes of a cold night in winter. It explores journies of love... whether that be the drawing of new love, the continuing of present love, or the fading of old love... all connected by the aurora in the sky. Woven patches of time together, just for a moment...
And, now... ladies, gentlemen, and people of all ages and walks of life, the show is about to begin.
At this time, please silence all cellphones, and keep in mind that flash photography and recording are strictly prohibited.
[/nsrs /j its for the "watching it with us" bit. I think it's a nice addition.]

special thanks once more to @helmetkeeper , who inspired us to make this blog... and of course, to all actors out there, big screen, live theaters, and all others; simply just for creating. In truth, this is a thanks to everyone who creates; and a wish that you may continue to create far into the future.
Huh...I just realised something. No one has done a play adaptation of The Tingler.
Think about it, it would work as a play. 99% of the locations are indoors, only a few of them exist. Most of the film is dialogue. And the Tingler is basically the ancestor of squirmles, wouldn't be hard to make an on-stage version work. Hell, add audience participation with the screaming bit and have the Tingler actually in the audience instead of the buzzer seats.
The only issue would be finding the perfect actor to replace Vincent Price.
MRS BERGMANN: Alright then. Just don’t— don’t look at me.
[WENDLA nods and moves so that she is sitting with her back turned to the audience, and MRS BERGMANN sits next to her on the bed, turned the opposite way so she is facing the audience.]
MRS BERGMANN: [With genuine resolve] When a man and a woman… When they get married, they often want to raise children together. You hear me Wendla? Only after marriage.
WENDLA: After marriage, yeah.
MRS BERGMANN: And when they want children, they…
[She pauses, suddenly ashamed. MRS BERGMANN has lost her courage.]
When they want children, they pray to the Lord, and if it is His will, they will have a child.
WENDLA: How?
MRS BERGMANN: That’s all.
WENDLA: [Turning around, skeptical] That’s all?
MRS BERGMANN: Yes.
[A pause, WENDLA glaring at her mother.]
WENDLA: I’m going outside.
[WENDLA storms out of her room, leaving her coat on her bed. MRS BERGMANN thinks about calling her back, but she doesn’t. She folds WENDLA’s coat, holding it close and trying not to cry. MRS BERGMANN was so sure this moment was when she would do things differently from her mother.]

share your reasons in the comments/reblogs! i know that the location of the story would also be relevant, so these categories are pretty broad. i’m just curious about people’s reasoning.
