Well, that's the only time I remember, not sure if there's more. I think it would be a smart move, but if they are gonna deny the baby then they need time for the denial to spread too. They can't avoid it forever though,album promo, interviews, etc.
Yup. And babygate pleases no one other than Briana’s family. Now that they’ve got the spike in name recognition they should be cleaning up his image and using that recognition to build positive associations. Stumbling out of a club drunk on his way to accidentally conceive a child with a woman he just met isn’t building positive associations.

Huh, I thought it had been a little more “official” than that. I was basing my theory off of a early release, but if that’s not happening: I think that they’ll end babygate (nobody likes it), but continue to generate favorable drama for Louis (lots of seeding, go back to their old clubbing tactics which will be successful now that his name has gotten “really” out there once). Then continue with the coming out with the album release.
Now that Louis’ name is out there, there’s no real reason that babygate has to be what keeps it out there. Unless a) that was part of the deal with Briana’s family or b) it’s real (I don’t think it is).
I also think it’s possible that they’ll come out on tour (much like the baby news it’s easier to keep them controlled if you only let them out for shows), and then drop the album later, but I think it makes sense to get the presale $$ from homophobic fans who are then going to leave the fandom.
