I don’t have anything against Maze/Eve, they could definitely do something with it. But s4 was like a kick in the gut, to see Maze do so much and achieve a kind of humanity we haven’t seen from her, only to be ignored and used the whole time. Both have a lot of growing to do, I’m not sure I think they’re what the other needs at the moment. I think Maze was really, truly hurt, and we’ve been seeing Maze hurt a lot lately. Then in a meta sense, it also sucked to see a story about one woman using the affections of another to get attention from a man. I know the show as a whole portrays a lot of complicated relationships, but I just get tired of most of the f/f relationships in the show always coming around to being about Lucifer (regardless of him being the main character). And Eve herself was just. Meh as a character, to me.
