Back to the office (and the field) today. I guess my calendar didn’t have anyone to change it. March 12th was when my water broke haha. I’m pumping at job sites all day. It’s awkward as hell and guys just don’t get it.

I miss my baby but I also missed the construction engineer life. I am so happy to get out and see the progress my projects have made while I’ve been out.

Maggie is soaking up her last only child days as I lounge around the house. She’s loving it. I feel like a million people who I never talk to have asked me randomly how I feel (pregnant) or when I think the baby is coming. These are people who I haven’t had texts from for a year or two. It’s just weird.

I am getting really prepared for leaving work for 2 months. I’ve never done that before and I’m torn between I need this time off to bond with the baby and I should at least keep in touch with emails. I was out 2 weeks a few years ago and came back to 2000 emails. I can’t imagine what my inbox will look like when I get back. Right now, I have 6 emails in there. My boss is super supportive which is really great. I have everything ready that I can do and it should run like clockwork because my team is awesome.

December Selfie Challenge! December 1

Here is my work station, I gave up dressing “nice” because the video feed and my internet never worked out anyway. It also gave me lots of leniency for making the guest bed (which Maggie unmakes daily for her naps). She lays there all day every day until lunch when we bark at the mailman and eat leftovers. It’s really no wonder why my days run together.

@losingitinvirginia thanks for the tag, sorry I’m a few days late. I am busier now than I ever was working from work. I am also a lazy bum who has their set up in the kitchen which means I’m eating all the food forever haha.

I did start the couch to 5k program yesterday. I’ll post as I get moving on that.

Best thing about the new job...water bottle filler water is delicious!

Worst part: my dog, husband, mom, and everything else remains at “home”. I need someone to buy my house or you know...give me 60k for a down payment.
