Hello! Sorry for the question, I tried to seek the answer myself but I couldn't find any explanation unfortunately. What is 'complex contact', exactly? I understand no contact and all that, but how does complex contact work? What does it mean? Thank you

I find that anti-contact lacks too much nuance. I think if you're going to call a type of relationship unethical, there's got to be an actual reason why the individual can't consent effectively, and anti-contact discussions often just end at 'they're x years old' rather than continuing to say 'and this is why they're not cut out to consent in this situation'

I also think that because the world has different legal ages of consent and different ideas of ethical age gaps, it's arbitrary to just pick an age and call it the universal age of consent and apply it to every situation. Especially when people take the American AoC and apply it to everywhere

my stance on para contact is complicated. my baseline is: if it'll harm a being, alive or dead, don't do it. after that it gets more complex. for things like objectophilia (attraction to objects, like computers, plushies, furniture, etc) i am pro-contact. no-one, alive or dead, is harmed, as long as you aren't committing public indecency with your local park bench or something. with things like somnophilia (attraction to someone sleeping), it's a bit harder. clearly, you should never take advantage of someone sleeping. however, there's safe ways to indulge in that, such as having a consenting partner and working out all the details with them, making sure they're safe, and talking with them about how they want it to go. that way, nobody is hurt or damaged mentally, and all parties consent. that's the best way i can explain it. feel free to ask me questions or have me clarify, i love answering asks!

my name's Caz! my blog is new, and it will be mostly about paraphilias, what they are, how to cope with them, etc. i am a paraphile. i am Not a radqueer or pro/dark/comshipper, i'd prefer to stay out of those things as it's a confusing mess. i'm an otherkin, and trans. my stance on paraphilia contact is confusing, and i'll probably make a separate post on the whole thing, but the basics is that if it's harmful (ex. pedophilia, zoophilia) then i'm anti-contact, if it's something like plushophilia (attraction to plushies) or dacrophilia (attraction to the act of crying) then it gets more complex. you can ask me questions, for coping mechanisms, how i deal with my paraphila, all sorts of things. negative asks won't be answered.
