Omg ok this one is actually one of my fav fics. I read it forever ago and then forgot to bookmark it, but I just found it again! Very fun collage au, cas grew up in a cult and dean is his roommate. For most college students, the summer after freshman year is a prime time to goof around, host parties, and go on whirlwind trips. But if you’re Dean Winchester, it’s back to your sleepy hometown in Kansas for another summer of playing Monopoly with your mom and little brother and maybe making the drive up to South Dakota to see some family friends.

Except things have changed for Dean: he’s bringing a friend home, and it’s not just anyone.

Cas Milton is Dean’s best friend, roommate, study partner, carpool buddy, and…well, at this point, just about everything. Outrunning a restricted childhood and judgmental family, Cas needs a place to stay for the summer, and Dean offers up his guest room. At first, it seems like this summer is going to be the best one ever–until an accident reveals that there’s more tragedy to Cas’s childhood than Dean thought, and it may be catching up with him.

FUCK. The fact that I KNOW dean sat down and thought about all the movie night he and cas had between jacks resurrection and cas’ death. All the family dinners, the flirty banter. The trips to the grocery store where they would argue about what kinda bread to get. The fact that he sat down and thought about all that, and how Cas was never happy. That they were some of the best times if deans life, but Cas wasn’t truely happy.

Any way this pain was brought on by @thenightwemetnatural and their the night we met but it took him 12 years to bleed out amv. Thanks destie, now I’m crying.
