Predatory lending is any financial service or loan that uses deceptive practices, coercion, and high-pressure sales tactics. These methods make people in dire need take on debt they often cannot afford or don’t fully understand. Another aspect of predatory lending is overly complicated terms meant to obfuscate the actual amount of fees and interest. These financial products are often designed to make it difficult to repay, and the final cost is far greater than the original amount needed.....

These products featured such ghastly mechanisms as “balloon payments” and “adjustable rates. Car title loans, aka “asset-based” loans have borrowers put up their car title and a set of keys as collateral. One in five title loan borrowers default. In this new era of digital financial services, new predatory lending vehicles are popping up every week.

These films emphasized the best reason to go to the movies; bringing people together. I’ve heard stories of people bringing their grandmother to see “Black Panther,” bringing their mom to see Disney Pixar’s “Coco,” or even a girl’s night out to see D.C.’s “Wonder Woman.”
